As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will play a critical role in our team, providing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary procedures, patient care, and critical care patient assessment. You will also be responsible for developing policies and procedures, patient protocols, and educating nursing and support personnel.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of respiratory care. You will also be expected to maintain current licensure and certification, as well as participate in ongoing education and professional development.

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary procedures to patients of all ages
* Conduct patient care and critical care patient assessment
* Develop policies and procedures, patient protocols, and educate nursing and support personnel
* Participate in multidisciplinary patient care conferences and process improvement
* Maintain current licensure and certification
* Participate in ongoing education and professional development

**Qualifications:**

* Certificate of Completion from an accredited two-year Respiratory Care Program
* Current/pending licensure by the State of California Respiratory Care Board as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
* Registered with the National Board for Respiratory Care or achieve registration within one year of hire date (RRT)
* Certification in American Heart Association basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (AHA BLS)
* Certification in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
* Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support required within six months of hire (PALS)
* Certification in Neonatal Advanced Life Support or within six months of hire (NRP)
* Employees assigned to EEG, EKG, EMG must have EKG and EEG certification within the last 5 years or 1 year of experience in the operation of electrocardiographic electromyelographic and electroencephalographic equipment
