Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to critically ill patients, including those in the neonatal and pediatric units.
  • Perform patient assessments and develop respiratory care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Operate and maintain various respiratory therapy equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery devices.
  • Conduct chest film analysis and blood gas collection and analysis.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of employment.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in critical care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Environment
