Position Summary

The Program Operations Assistant plays a vital role within the Learning Community of Douglas and Sarpy Counties. This position encompasses a variety of administrative responsibilities aimed at ensuring the effective functioning of the Center. The Program Operations Assistant is the first point of contact for staff and visitors, delivering exceptional customer service and support. This role demands strong organizational capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the administrative and clerical tasks associated with the program, including transportation logistics, call screening, email correspondence, and welcoming program participants.
  • Exhibit safe and courteous driving practices while transporting staff and participants.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the vehicle is clean and well-maintained.
  • Input data into the database and generate reports as directed by the Program Manager.
  • Establish and maintain transportation systems and procedures, including accurate record-keeping and filing.
  • Ensure that relevant information is readily available to facilitate the efficient operation of the Center.
  • Assist with logistical operations, including lifting items up to 30 pounds for kitchen support, food service, and childcare assistance.
  • Actively engage in team meetings, contributing to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Provide general assistance for program activities and undertake additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Capacity to work independently while being committed to teamwork.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance with a clean driving record.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
