This role entails overseeing internal audit and risk management consulting within the Information Technology (IT) sector of the organization. You will lead the execution of financial, business process, and information systems audits, along with special projects aimed at evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls, as well as compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide staff by providing professional and technical expertise to ensure audit objectives and scope are met. This includes assisting team members and audit contractors in formulating and negotiating audit recommendations and responses, assessing audit team performance, and offering guidance on departmental and organizational policies.
  • Develop, review, and endorse relevant IT audit documentation and communication of audit findings. Ensure compliance with departmental and IIA standards for content and quality.
  • Conduct IT internal audits encompassing audit planning, detailing control procedures, related testing, and reporting in alignment with professional and departmental standards, including financial (Sarbanes-Oxley testing) and IT operational projects.
  • Engage in relevant risk assessment processes led by the Audit Management Team to ensure audit plans address higher-risk areas. For all audit projects within assigned business areas, establish and approve project risk assessments, audit objectives, scope, and audit programs.
  • Lead or participate in special projects initiated by the department or the organization.
  • Ensure effective scheduling and deployment of IAAS resources across audit engagements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, technology, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business, including IT internal audit or public accounting.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT Audit.
  • General understanding of IT auditing principles and their application.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A commitment to making a positive impact with the ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant assurance certification (CISA, CPA, or CIA).
  • 5+ years of relevant business experience, including IT internal audit or public accounting.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with IT internal controls over financial reporting (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley, MAR, SOC).
  • A comprehensive understanding of IT risk and internal control concepts and their practical application.
  • Experience with Data Analytics and Data Visualization tools.
  • Experience in health insurance or related fields.
  • Provider experience.
