Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Specialist to join our team at AdventHealth. As a key member of our patient financial services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless patient access to our healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Eligibility Verification: Ensure accurate and timely registration of patients for all services, including eligibility verification and pre-certification.
  • Cashiering and Collections: Perform cashiering functions, collect payments, and establish payment plans as needed.
  • Insurance and Benefits: Verify insurance coverage, determine extent of coverage, and communicate relevant information to patients.
  • Medicare Compliance: Perform Medicare compliance reviews, identify patients who may need Medicare Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage (ABNs), and issue ABN forms as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers, ensuring a positive experience throughout the registration process.
Requirements
  • Education: High school degree or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience: One year or more of relevant healthcare experience preferred; prior collections experience also preferred.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in computer applications and software.
