About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team at the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community and contribute to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Relational Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with individuals, families, and community leaders within our Kehillot, fostering a sense of belonging and connection to the Jewish community.
  • Donor Prospecting: Identify and cultivate new potential donors, introducing them to our fundraising team to explore philanthropic opportunities.
  • Leadership Development: Identify and engage leaders throughout the community, amplifying diverse voices and connecting them with leadership opportunities within the Jewish Federation.
  • Programs and Gatherings: Plan and execute large-scale and smaller events, promoting community engagement and demonstrating the Jewish Federation's presence in the community.
  • Jewish Federation Integration and Communications: Maintain a strong communications presence within our Kehillot, working closely with our marketing team to craft and distribute compelling messaging that integrates the goals of the Jewish Federation, the Kehillah, and its partner organizations.
Requirements
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work well with individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple activities and priorities.
  • Proven ability to take a project from concept through completion.
  • Strong familiarity with Jewish traditions, with the ability to lead Jewish events and connect effectively within the Jewish community.
  • Ability to work evenings, occasional Shabbat, holiday, and Sunday events, as needed.
