Clinical Admissions Coordinator RN

The Clinical Admissions Coordinator RN plays a pivotal role at Providence, focusing on enhancing patient flow within our healthcare facilities. This full-time position operates on a 12-hour day shift, averaging 36 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Patient Flow Management:** Collaborate with the Administrative Supervisor and Resource Coordinators to ensure efficient patient placement during peak hours.
2. **Data Monitoring:** Oversee information systems to guarantee timely and accurate data entry, with the authority to enforce compliance among staff.
3. **Admission Coordination:** Act as the primary liaison for direct admissions and inter-facility transfers, ensuring appropriate patient status and bed availability.
4. **Resource Assessment:** Evaluate the organization’s capacity to manage patient volumes in real-time and strategize for surge capacity based on established criteria.
5. **Screening and Prioritization:** Assist Resource Coordinators in assessing admission requests for specialty areas and prioritize multiple simultaneous requests.
6. **Documentation and Compliance:** Maintain records of non-compliance patterns for follow-up and support ongoing patient flow.
Qualifications:
- **Required:** Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field, or equivalent education/experience.
- **Upon Hire:** Valid Washington Registered Nurse License.
- **Experience:** Minimum of 3 years as a Registered Nurse in an acute care environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Previous managerial experience in nursing.
