Position Summary:
The Vice President of Casting and Talent Relations plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of our productions. This executive will oversee the entire casting process for Telemundo Entertainment's Unscripted Division, focusing on identifying and selecting talent that aligns with our creative vision and enhances project outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in casting for television and digital platforms, along with a deep understanding of industry dynamics and talent networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy:
    Formulate and execute casting strategies that align with the company's artistic and business objectives. Guide and mentor the casting team, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Talent Acquisition:
    Identify and secure top-tier talent for diverse projects across various media platforms. Cultivate strong relationships with agents and industry professionals to enhance talent sourcing.
  • Project Management:
    Oversee the casting process, ensuring efficient execution and adherence to timelines. Manage budgets and negotiate contracts with talent representatives.
  • Industry Insight:
    Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging talent, attending events and festivals to scout new prospects and expand networks.
  • Innovation:
    Continuously seek innovative approaches to enhance the quality and diversity of our talent pool, implementing best practices to streamline processes.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the entertainment industry, with at least 5 years in an executive capacity.
  • A four-year college degree is required.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives and communicate a clear vision.
  • Experience working with talent agents and managers in both International and U.S. Hispanic markets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.

Additional Information:
This position is designated as hybrid, requiring in-office contributions a minimum of three days per week.
