FreshDirect Seeks Experienced Director of Paid Marketing

FreshDirect, a leading innovator in e-commerce and grocery industries, is seeking a seasoned Director of Paid Marketing to lead our paid acquisition and retention efforts. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive paid media strategy that drives customer acquisition, increases brand awareness, and maximizes ROI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and lead the overall paid media strategy, ensuring alignment with broader marketing and business objectives.
  • Manage the planning, execution, and optimization of paid campaigns across various platforms, including Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, podcasts, and programmatic networks.
  • Collaborate closely with the analytics team to track and measure the performance of campaigns, using data-driven insights to refine strategies and improve effectiveness.
  • Work with creative teams to develop compelling ad content that resonates with target audiences and enhances brand positioning.
  • Oversee the budget allocation for paid media channels, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximum ROI.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and best practices in digital marketing and paid media to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Build and nurture relationships with external partners, including ad agencies, media vendors, and technology providers, to enhance campaign performance.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities to drive team success.
  • Present campaign performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership, clearly articulating the impact of paid media efforts on business growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on paid media and performance marketing.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful paid media campaigns that drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of various paid media channels, including search, social, display, video, and programmatic, with hands-on experience in campaign management.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience managing substantial marketing budgets and optimizing spend to maximize ROI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and inspire a team.
  • Experience in the e-commerce, retail, or CPG industry is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in marketing technology and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, and other relevant platforms.
