We are seeking a skilled Medical Interpreter to join our team at RELA Language Professionals.

About the Role

  • Facilitate clear and accurate communication between healthcare providers and patients.
  • Conduct pre-session briefings to set clear expectations about the interpreting process.
  • Interpret Providers' medical advice and information accurately.
  • Assure patient comprehension.
  • Adhere strictly to medical confidentiality and ethical standards and adhere to professional boundaries.
  • Navigate cultural nuances to improve mutual understanding.
  • Maintain professionalism and punctuality in all interactions.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude & maintain a customer service orientation.

Requirements

  • Certificate from a nationally accredited 40-hour medical interpreter training program.
  • Demonstrable fluency in English and target language(s), especially seeking those with expertise in medical terminology in both working languages.
  • Ability to travel to various healthcare facilities within the designated area.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the capability to handle stressful and delicate situations effectively.
  • Pass a background check and drug screening.
