Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in a multidisciplinary care environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the pharmacy services team to ensure complete and appropriate drug therapy for patients.
  • Provide drug information to patients and healthcare providers to promote optimal medication use.
  • Resolve prior authorizations and insurance billing issues on behalf of patients and providers.
  • Oversee the Patient Advocate team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform drug utilization review and checks for appropriateness.
  • Collaborate with the Specialty Fulfillment team to ensure timely receipt of medications and compliance with drug therapy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 Pharmacy Practice Residency.
  • 2 years of experience as a pharmacist, preferably in a specialty pharmacy setting.
  • License to practice pharmacy in the state of Louisiana.
  • Multi-state licensure preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows-style applications.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
