Key Responsibilities- Provide Integrated Support: Collaborate with patients and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care through the administration of medication, monitoring of patient drug therapies, and provision of adherence support.
- Advance Quality Pharmacotherapy Care: Ensure the provision of safe, efficacious, and cost-effective drug therapy for all Oncology patients.
- Review Prior Authorization Requests: Assess and review prior authorization requests for medications requested under the pharmacy benefit.
- Communicate Effectively: Utilize integrated and routine communication with healthcare professionals and patients to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Consult with Patients: Identify, resolve, and prevent medication-related problems through consultation with patients.
- Assess Medications: Evaluate each patient's medications for indication, effectiveness, safety, and adherence issues.
- Education and Licensure: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) and licensed Pharmacist in the state of employment.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience as a clinical pharmacy manager, with a preferred 5+ years of experience. Completion of a PGY2 residency specializing in oncology is preferred.
- Skills: Ability to analyze information, exercise good judgment, possess strong verbal communication skills, and have deep knowledge of pharmacology developments and FDA health regulations.
- Traits: Organized, high-integrity, attention to detail, dependable, quality focus, empathetic, and good listener/communicator.
