Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Destination Sales Team Leader to join our Sheraton team in Birmingham, Alabama. This key role will lead our sales efforts to drive revenue growth, develop strategic partnerships, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities
  1. Sales Leadership: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets, leveraging relationships with key decision-makers and industry partners.
  2. Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell our services and products.
  3. Business Development: Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and partnerships, driving revenue growth and expanding our presence in the region.
  4. Customer Experience: Ensure seamless execution of events, meetings, and conferences, delivering exceptional service and exceeding customer expectations.
  5. Team Management: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to drive results.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in sales leadership or account management, preferably in the hospitality or tourism industry.
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth, building strong relationships, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in group sales, catering, or event planning is highly desirable. Familiarity with Marriott's systems and processes is also beneficial.
