Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Paralegal Specialist to join our team at Dann D Sheffield & Associates. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience working as a paralegal in a personal injury law office and possess excellent skills in organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the court calendar, scheduling depositions, arbitrations, and mediations, and preparing related correspondence. They will also be responsible for filing with federal and state courts, processing online filings, and maintaining accurate records.

We offer a full or part-time role, with the possibility of partial remote work for the right candidate. Our office is located in a great location, with plenty of opportunity for self-motivation and organization.

Responsibilities

  • Filing with federal and state courts, including online filing and record maintenance
  • Managing the court calendar, scheduling depositions, arbitrations, and mediations
  • Preparing related correspondence, including discovery requests and complaints for damages
  • Reviewing medical records, compiling medical special charts, and monitoring subrogation principles
  • Interfacing with legal professionals and clients
  • Knowledge of IOLTA accounting is beneficial but not required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a paralegal in a personal injury law office
  • Excellent organizational, computer, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Knowledge of state and federal court rules
