Materials Management Specialist

Job Summary
Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Materials Management Specialist to join our team. This key leadership position is responsible for all materials management activities at our Ashland, VA manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage materials related annual capital and expense budgets.
- Set up, arrange, and audit organization material plan, purchasing & logistic activities.
- Manage lean inventory control strategies while maintaining high levels of production effectiveness while meeting inventory targets.
- Balance organization production ability and audit organization production and material plan according to organization and customer's needs.
- Manage the short-term and long-term capacity plans based on MPS.
- Lead material handling, warehouse operations, inventory control activity to insure efficient material movement, storage, and accurate inventory records.
- Implement countermeasures and adjust planning systems to minimize obsolete inventories.
- Maintain routine dispatch schedule and maintain priorities to achieve 100% customer on-time deliveries, and production throughput efficiencies.
- Maintain well-informed plant manager and corporate on material potential issues or improvements strategic plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
- People leadership and related materials management experience.
- ERP experience with proficiency in SAP preferred.
- A working knowledge of low-volume/high mix & high-volume manufacturing operations, warehouse shipping and receiving, ERP planning systems, proven mathematical and analysis skills required.
- Certified Production & Inventory Management); Lean manufacturing and/or six sigma certification is a plus.
