Job Summary

Harvard University is seeking a highly qualified Clinical Instructor to join the Food Law and Policy Clinic (FLPC). The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and teaching students enrolled in the Clinic as they work on complex policy projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Mentoring: Supervise and mentor students enrolled in the Clinic, providing guidance and support as they work on policy projects.
  • Project Management: Manage several high-profile FLPC projects within our existing project portfolio, including designing student projects, directing project tasks, and managing relationships with clients and partners.
  • Partnership Development: Develop and manage partnerships with external partners, coalitions, and communities in the food policy arena.
  • Research and Writing: Conduct research and write policy briefs, reports, and other materials to support the Clinic's work.
  • Communication and Representation: Represent the Clinic at local, national, and international conferences and events, and deliver talks and trainings to clients, partners, and policymakers.
Requirements
  • JD Degree: Earned at least three years ago and a minimum of three years relevant experience and admitted to a state bar.
  • Experience: Experience teaching, mentoring, and motivating students and beginning attorneys, as well as experience working with clients, colleagues, and students of diverse backgrounds.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills, as well as strong writing, research, interpersonal, and communication skills.
