Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled RN to coordinate the placement of patients through professional judgment, effective communication, and adherence to organizational standards and policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients' needs upon admission and utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care.
- Document all significant information on the patient record.
- Communicate effectively with teammates and collaborate on patient care.
- Anticipate changing patient care needs and department situations.
- Resolve patient-related problems within scope of responsibility.
- Participate in the facility's Performance Improvement program.
- Follow organizational policy and procedure, and serve as a resource for others.
- Demonstrate age-specific competency in the clinical practice environment.
Physical Requirements
The RN will work in a general hospital environment with frequent exposure to chemicals, pathogens, and patient blood and body fluids. The environment is climate-controlled, and the RN will be required to perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying, as well as frequent walking, standing, stooping, and reaching.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
A graduate from an accredited School of Nursing is required, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred. A license to practice as a Registered Nurse or temporary Registered Nurse petitioner in the state of North Carolina is required. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA is required, as well as current successful completion of ACLS from AHA. The RN must possess a high level of problem-solving skills to identify solutions to human, technical, clinical, or administrative problems.
