Job Title: Student Affairs Specialist at GeorgiaGov
GeorgiaGov is seeking a detail-oriented professional to fulfill the role of Student Affairs Specialist. This position is dedicated to executing specialized tasks that enhance student affairs operations. The role will primarily be based at a designated campus, with occasional travel to other locations as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting students throughout registration and course adjustment periods;
- Facilitating informative sessions aimed at prospective students;
- Evaluating academic transcripts and making admissions determinations;
- Responding to inquiries regarding new student enrollment;
- Conducting outreach visits to educational institutions and career events;
- Managing community inquiries through multiple communication channels;
- Supporting faculty with student-related concerns;
- Contributing to the annual job fair hosted by the institution;
- Advising student organizations; and
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of technical education and college programs;
- Familiarity with financial aid systems;
- Understanding of applicable state and federal regulations;
- Experience in budget management;
- Proficiency in computer systems and relevant software;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree *and* three (3) years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline, accompanied by at least three years of customer service experience;
- Previous experience with Banner software.
Physical Requirements:
Salary and Benefits:
Compensation will be determined based on educational background and experience. Employee benefits include paid state holidays, annual and sick leave, in addition to the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits package.

The position will remain open until filled. Candidates may undergo various screening processes, including drug testing, verification of education, reference checks, and background investigations. Additional assessments may be required for high-risk positions.
