Job Overview

Armina Health is seeking a dedicated and detail-focused Surgery Scheduling Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting patients and healthcare providers with the scheduling, authorization, and coordination of surgical procedures across various clinics.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying patient orders for accuracy and notifying providers of any inconsistencies.
  • Preparing, submitting, and monitoring patient recommendation letters.
  • Creating and managing schedules for physicians and medical facilities.
  • Contacting patients to inform them of their surgical dates and providing necessary pre-operative documentation.
  • Ensuring patients receive the required medical clearances for successful surgeries.
  • Reviewing and securing patient consent forms prior to surgery.
  • Coordinating surgical schedules according to the specific protocols set by each physician.
  • Inputting essential data into the practice management system.
  • Obtaining necessary authorizations for surgical procedures.
  • Responding promptly to patient inquiries via calls and emails.
  • Providing updates and information regarding patients' surgical schedules.
  • Arranging post-surgical follow-up appointments with patients.
  • Scheduling diagnostic tests and pre-operative appointments based on patient availability and needs.
  • Coordinating transportation arrangements for patients undergoing surgery as required.
  • Sending reminders to patients about their upcoming surgical appointments.

  • A minimum of one year of experience in surgical scheduling is mandatory.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
