We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Test Scheduler to join our team at the Center for Orthopedic Research and Education. As a Medical Test Scheduler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice management program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling Tests
    • Schedule tests for patients within the designated practice management program or at outside facilities based on insurance, patient preference, physician preference, and location.
  • Communication and Coordination
    • Gather pertinent information from insurance carriers, physicians, and patient charts to ensure accurate patient financial obligations.
    • Communicate with patients regarding pre-certification, authorization, financial counseling, and scheduling process.
    • Respond to patient questions and complaints, resolving problems and maintaining high patient satisfaction levels.
  • Documentation and Data Entry
    • Input required data, including referrals and coded notes.
    • Accurately update patient information in the practice management system and EMR, as well as any changes or additions to the schedule.
  • Authorization and Compliance
    • Initiate authorization for tests within the required time as designated by policies and procedures.
