Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Planner to join our team at Swift Transportation. As a Service Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process work orders and coordinate equipment with Driver Services and Customer Service
  • Assign jobs to mechanics and coordinate farmed out equipment with outside vendors
  • Plan daily workloads and coordinate with Shop Supervisors regarding workloads
  • Inspect repair orders for warranty repairs and ensure all repairs are properly coded
  • Coordinate with the warranty department to ensure all units outsourced for repair are under warranty
  • Maintain and update the shop DNR work log
  • Handle shop calls for units in and out of shop for repair
  • Coordinate with the On-road department and handle road calls within 75 miles of the shop
  • Provide Owner Operators with copies of completed repair orders
  • Work with the Parts department to ensure all parts are ordered for units needing repair
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a service or operations role preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
