Job Summary

We are seeking a highly observant and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Seasonal Safety Associate. As a key member of our safety and security team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with the public and museum staff to provide exceptional experiences to all guests
  • Assist guests with general inquiries and rules
  • Represent Newfields in a professional and customer service-oriented manner
  • Patrol and monitor the Fairbanks Park, addressing any unsafe behaviors or interactions, and report properly
  • Perform routine checks of art installations and the Visitors Pavilion
  • During Harvest Nights and Winterlights Festivals, address any unsafe behaviors or interactions, and report property and art damages
  • Post and rove Lilly House, observing guests and art to deter any interaction or damage to art
  • Interact and maintain fire pits and warming stations during our Winterlights and Festival experience
  • Work independently with the ability to exercise good judgment in carrying out standard policies and procedures for the security and safety of our guests and property
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent
  • Ability to complete required security training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook)
  • Excellent customer service attitude and related experience
Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, and working in outdoor environments with varying temperatures. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment is required.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional exposure to loud noises and varying weather conditions.
