Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, hourly position responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of three warehouse facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining facility systems and warehouse handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine, comprehensive, and preventative maintenance tasks
  • Inspect warehouse handling equipment and racking systems
  • Maintain forklift fleet
  • Troubleshoot problems related to malfunctioning equipment
  • Perform millwright duties
  • Enhanced rigging duties
  • Respond in a timely manner to service requests from colleagues
  • Ability to read spec sheets and blueprints
  • Ensure accuracy of maintenance records
  • Must be able to lift heavy items (50 lbs. unassisted), bend, kneel, stand, climb, and work at elevated heights
  • Ability to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must have a demonstrated history of safe work behavior and a sincere desire to follow and improve upon safety policies and procedures
  • Report all injuries, illnesses, near misses, damage, or other issues in a timely manner
  • Assist warehouse staff to maintain an organized layout and safe work environment

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Enhanced millwright and mechanical skills
  • Actively participate in all required Safety, Environmental, and Quality Assurance programs
  • Promote the company's core values
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
  • Understand written procedures and write routine documents
  • Strong reading skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Mechanical diagnostic abilities
  • Millwright certification or extensive experience preferred
  • HVAC certification is preferred
  • Electrical systems knowledge is preferred
