Maintenance Technician II - CNC Machine Tool Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II - CNC Machine Tool Specialist to join our team at Manufacturing Maintenance Solutions. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing mid to expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance on CNC machine tools, ensuring optimal equipment performance and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mid to expert-level break-fix and preventative maintenance on CNC machine tools, including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of defective parts.
  • Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify potential issues and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment-related issues and ensure seamless production operations.
  • Document work and update records in our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Assure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Provide inputs in Continuous Improvement (CI) activities, including process optimization, cost savings, and quality enhancements.
  • Perform checks of alignment and geometric accuracy to ensure equipment precision and accuracy.
  • Set up and operate simple machining operations, including lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools, to make and repair parts.
  • Perform basic welding tasks to repair and maintain equipment.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role with comparable goals and responsibilities.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent); Industrial Maintenance Technician or similar program is not required but would be strongly encouraged.
  • Basic mechanical skills with the aptitude to learn advanced skills and electrical skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems, analyze information, and make informed decisions.
  • Experience with Siemens controllers and working on G&L and Cincinnati machines.
  • Valid state driver's license, vehicle insurance, and dependable vehicle.
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
