Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Technician of The dReam Center Church of Atlanta serves the church by coordinating building schedules and ensuring that maintenance issues and grounds upkeep are executed. This position reports to the Chief Operations Officer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Building Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance around the building, including repairs and/or reporting structural damage, painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, grounds, light fixtures, and other tasks.
  • Facilities Coordination: Coordinate building schedules, ensure that maintenance issues are addressed, and oversee grounds upkeep.
  • Opening and Closing Protocols: Perform building opening and closing protocols, including inspections and troubleshooting climate control issues.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Work with available resources to monitor projects, purchases, and work orders, and ensure that facilities are properly maintained.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain an efficient parts and supply inventory and all maintenance/storage areas.
  • Emergency Response: Address facility breakdowns that can occur after work hours, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Pre-Service and Post-Service: Perform building opening and closing protocols, inspections, and troubleshoot climate control issues.
  • During Service: Address maintenance requests, troubleshoot climate control issues, and perform minimum damage control for plumbing and electrical issues.
  • Other: Coordinate and receive deliveries, facilitate facilities-related pick-ups, stage related placements and designs, and ensure that rooms are properly equipped and stocked.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience.
  • Certifications: Technical certifications are a plus.
  • Skills: Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, proficiency in Microsoft Office and task management software, highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
