This is an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Tech Inpatient to join our team at Carilion Clinic. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Administer nursing care under the direction of the RN, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and safety.
- Partner with the RN to collect data, plan, and implement patient/resident care, with a focus on enhancing the patient and customer experience.
- Assist with throughput initiatives, including wound care, safe patient ambulation, and discharge-focused teachings delegated by the RN.
- Role model customer service excellence and related initiatives, setting a positive example for colleagues and patients alike.
- Mentor Nurse Assistants and serve as an active preceptor to NA's, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Active participation in unit-based council activities/initiatives, driving continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
- Own LOS on unit and actively participate in unit-based initiatives, ensuring seamless patient flow and efficient care delivery.
- Obtain vital signs and conduct focused patient assessments, providing accurate and timely information to the RN and other healthcare team members.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school, either for practical nursing or registered nurses.
- Healthcare experience preferred, with a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices.
- Licensed to practice nursing LPN in the state of Virginia, with the ability to obtain/maintain AHS BLS-HCP required.
- May be required to obtain/maintain AHA BLS based on specific work unit.
- Employee should enroll in an accredited Registered Nurse program within 15 months of hire.
