Your Role:
The Hearing Care Coordinator (HCC) plays a vital role in collaborating with clinical staff to ensure that patients receive exceptional care and service. By working closely with Hearing Care Professionals, the HCC supports both referring physicians and patients, facilitating a seamless experience within the clinic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome patients with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Conduct outbound calls to current and former patients to arrange follow-up appointments and evaluations.
  • Collect and manage patient intake forms, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments efficiently.
  • Perform benefit verifications and obtain necessary authorizations for insurance.
  • Provide initial support to patients, addressing inquiries and managing check-in/check-out processes.
  • Assist with repairs under the guidance of licensed Hearing Care Professionals.
  • Prepare financial deposits and submit daily reports to the finance department.
  • Maintain general sales knowledge for accessories and patient support.
  • Process patient orders and verify pickups, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Keep equipment and instruments clean and well-maintained.
  • Manage inventory levels, placing orders as necessary.
  • Support event planning and logistics for community outreach initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Prior experience or knowledge of hearing aids is advantageous.
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong customer service background is essential.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with patients, physicians, and clinical staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is required.
  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems is a plus.
