Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transportation Events Coordinator to join our team at the Texas Department of Transportation. As a key member of our Communications Division, you will be responsible for planning and executing division and statewide level events that meet the needs of our leadership and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate statewide conference planning to ensure successful execution of conferences using a streamlined cost-saving process.
  • Provide customer service and build rapport with TxDOT employees and external stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Work closely with the Creative Services team to ensure deadlines are met and executed with a customer service-oriented mentality.
  • Develop detailed schedules and manage integrated project schedules to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Analyze project issues and develop solutions to meet productivity, quality, and client satisfaction goals and objectives.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, government, business management, public relations, or a related discipline.
  • 5 years of experience in communications, project coordination, project management, or conference event planning.
  • Valid driver's license.
