Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist is responsible for addressing and fulfilling all general maintenance requests across various areas of the property, including guest rooms, public spaces, meeting venues, and outdoor facilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Address and complete all maintenance requests promptly, covering both interior and exterior areas of the hotel and associated properties.
• Execute work order tasks efficiently and within designated timeframes.
• Respond courteously to guest inquiries and room service calls.
• Maintain accurate tracking of work orders, ensuring timely completion and prioritization.
• Assist in planning and coordinating maintenance projects during off-peak seasons.
• Conduct safety inspections to uphold compliance standards.
• Perform painting, spackling, and wall repairs as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations, including OSHA and GHS standards.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and best practices.
• Report any safety hazards or suspicious activities to management.
• Monitor fire detection systems and assist with emergency evacuation procedures.
• Engage with guests daily to enhance their experience.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is required.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical fields such as HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, plumbing, painting, mechanical repairs, and carpentry is advantageous.
Work Environment
This role requires the ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods. Employees may work in various conditions, including outdoor environments, and must use protective equipment when necessary. The position may involve navigating slippery or uneven surfaces and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs.
