Job Summary:

KING'S INSURANCE STAFFING LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist to join our team. As a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for handling moderate to complex Alabama Workers' Compensation Claims from inception to close.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain file maintenance on moderate to complex Workers' Compensation claims with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager.
  • Monitor medical treatment to ensure the injured worker is attending scheduled appointments, continues to work and/or can be placed back to work.
  • Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys, when applicable.
  • Responsibilities also include active file management, effective reserving practices, participation in training activities, presentation of serious claims to committee and supervision of litigated files.
  • Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service and adherence to department Best Practices.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience.
  • Must be well-versed in Alabama Workers' Compensation Law.
  • Must hold an active adjuster's license.
  • Must have experience handling litigated files.
  • Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.
