General Inspector Specialist

This role is integral to the operational effectiveness of the Air Force Reserve Command. The incumbent will serve as a pivotal figure in managing the Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP) within the wing/group structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of Inspection Programs: Oversee the Unit Effectiveness Inspection Program, ensuring compliance and readiness.
- Planning and Execution: Strategically plan, schedule, and carry out inspections and exercises to enhance unit performance.
- Leadership and Training: Lead and train the Wing Inspection Team (WIT), fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Engagement in Professional Development: Participate in meetings, conferences, and seminars to stay updated on program planning and advanced technologies.
- Supervisory Duties: While supervisory responsibilities are minimal, the role includes overseeing personnel management for a small team.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess specialized experience equivalent to at least one year at the GS-11 level or higher. This experience should include:
- Expertise in inspection and exercise planning, with a thorough understanding of relevant laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to improve unit operations.
- Strong communication skills for effective briefing and reporting.
Additional Information
This position requires the incumbent to maintain Air Force Reserve standards and may involve travel for temporary duty assignments. The role is designed to ensure the highest levels of operational readiness and compliance within the unit.
