Description

Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Department: Guest Services

Reports To: Front Desk Manager

Overview: The Guest Services department serves as the initial point of contact for visitors. A Front Desk Agent is responsible for managing guest check-ins and check-outs, processing reservations, overseeing guest accounts, responding to inquiries about the facility, and offering recommendations for local attractions. Exceptional service and knowledgeable assistance are crucial to ensuring guests enjoy a memorable stay and uphold high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receives and relays telephone communications
  • Handles reservation requests and confirmations
  • Welcomes, registers, and allocates rooms to guests
  • Facilitates guest check-in and check-out procedures
  • Processes payments and reconciles financial transactions
  • Records charges for accommodations, dining, beverages, or packages on guest accounts
  • Maintains accurate records of room availability and guest accounts, along with emergency reports
  • Responds to inquiries regarding hotel amenities, guest registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
  • Informs guests about available activities such as swimming, boating, parks, and local attractions
  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail, packages, and messages
  • Issues room keys to guests while ensuring their privacy is respected
  • Reports maintenance, cleaning, security, or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
  • Addresses and follows up on all guest requests to ensure satisfaction
  • Compiles and shares reports with management and relevant staff
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of the lobby and front desk area
  • Performs additional duties as required, including guest room tours, concierge services, and special requests.
