Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Director of Health and Wellness to lead our healthcare team and ensure the highest quality care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical care.
Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends, and develop/implement improvement plans as needed.
Partner with the Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health and safety.
Collaborate with the pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
Provide clinical expertise and guidance to licensed nurses.
Assist with educational presentations and identify ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment/Service Plan process.
Oversee the completion of monthly updates and report any pertinent changes to the responsible party.
Partner with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential changes in service/medication levels.
Ensure resident service plans are updated as required by state regulations.
Participate in community awareness activities and maintain communication with residents' families and/or responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns.
Inform the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs.
Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis and ensure adequate clinical supplies are available.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Provide supervision to LPNs and Certified Nursing Assistants to ensure delivery of high-quality care to residents.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing, with at least one year of experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in senior living.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and develop improvement plans.
Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new applications.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
Interact with guests, residents, and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
Respond promptly to resident needs.

Environmental Adaptability:

Work primarily indoors in a climate-controlled setting, with possible exposure to blood and/or body fluids, hazardous materials, and infectious diseases.

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, talking or hearing, and occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
