Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
- Assist in receiving, storing, preparing, serving, sanitizing, and cleaning procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Support the Dining Services Director and other staff members as needed, and direct other employees with approval.
- Utilize protective gear and follow safety precautions when mixing and using cleaning solutions.
- Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met, and follow infection control and universal precautions policies.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks.
- Utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision and maintain a safe work environment.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and experience in food preparation is a plus.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required, and compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is necessary.
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
