Patient Access Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our team at Denver Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless patient registration and discharge processes, while providing exceptional customer service and support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Register and discharge patients into the EPIC system, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
- Collect and process patient payments, including co-payments and deposits.
- Verify patient demographics and insurance information, ensuring accurate billing and claims processing.
- Coordinate bed assignments, transfers, and discharges, maintaining effective communication with nursing units and supervisors.
- Provide excellent customer service, answering patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No prior experience necessary, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic healthcare environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EPIC system.
- Competitive hourly rate of $29.53.
