Job Description

Commercial Roofing Estimator

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience with commercial roof systems and construction estimating. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating commercial roofing projects, including field take-offs, budgets, and change orders. They will also be responsible for communicating with clients, sales staff, and management. The Commercial Roofing Estimator will create, maintain, and manage project files during the estimating process. They will perform roof surveys/take-offs, including creating roof drawings with detail drawings, taking measurements of roof area and details, and assessing logistics challenges for specific job sites. The Commercial Roofing Estimator must have a working knowledge of all types of roof systems, along with waterproofing and plaza decks. They will estimate commercial roofing projects using software provided. The Commercial Roofing Estimator will also have strong attention to detail and the ability to manage simultaneous assignments. They will provide excellent telephone coverage, including the ability to manage priorities, handle urgent calls with professionalism, and good judgment. The Commercial Roofing Estimator will also have excellent time management skills, be self-motivated, and able to motivate others. They will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to write estimates/change orders, photo reports, and proposals. The Commercial Roofing Estimator will also be proficient with all office technology, including advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet research. They will be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and use smartphones, including emails and internet browsing. The Commercial Roofing Estimator will be extremely well organized, self-motivated, innovative, and hardworking. They will be able to handle changing priorities and multiple tasks. The Commercial Roofing Estimator will be a customer service-oriented, team-player eager to assist colleagues and members of the department at all levels.
