Product Development Lead

In a manufacturing environment, Prequel Solutions seeks an experienced Product Development Lead to oversee the engineering design team. This role involves leading product development and process improvement initiatives, driving innovation and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with leadership responsibilities.
The successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving, data analysis, and report writing skills. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting project deadlines, is also required. Process-driven individuals with a keen attention to detail will excel in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor the engineering design team
- Oversee design reviews, ensuring they meet customer specifications, company engineering standards, and cost requirements
- Lead product development and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, DraftSight, and Microsoft Office suite
- Knowledge of FEA Solid Flow and GD&T is a plus
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems
- Engineer to Order, Low Volume High Mix Environment experience is a plus
