About the Role

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the medical team at Ashland Family Practice and UH Samaritan Primary Care. As a Medical Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for patients, handling front desk duties, scheduling appointments, and collecting patient information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient flow and facilitate unit operations
  • Perform basic Medical Assistant duties, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams
  • Handle front desk duties, including scheduling patients and collecting patient information
  • Comply with all policies and standards related to Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Participate in annual training and adhere to UH Code of Conduct and policies
Requirements
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program
  • 1+ years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred
Work Environment

This position will float between front desk and Medical Assisting at Ashland Family Practice and UH Samaritan Primary Care. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
