Field Services Technician I

Position Overview: The Field Services Team at Mercury Wireless represents the customer-facing segment of the organization. Team members are expected to maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while being attentive to customer needs. Field Services personnel must be diligent and meticulous in their tasks, adhering to installation protocols, safety regulations, and guidance from the Field Team Leader.

Position Details:
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Competitive Pay - $20.00/hr based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install broadband equipment at customer locations
  • Engage with subscribers and represent the company professionally
  • Configure and connect customer equipment to the Mercury Network
  • Troubleshoot customer broadband equipment
  • Support the sales team with localized marketing initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Adhere to cabling procedures for residential and commercial installations
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including elevated and confined spaces
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with software applications
  • Understanding of computer networking principles
  • Ability to use PC-based applications for programming and diagnosing communication equipment
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Self-motivated and customer service-oriented
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
