Alternative Paths Training School (APTS) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Program Facilitator to join our team. As a Program Facilitator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Special Education Teacher in carrying out lesson plans and activities to help students reach their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Special Education Teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities to promote student learning and development.
  • Assist students with physical tasks such as using the restroom, hand washing, and daily living skills.
  • Implement behavioral strategies, including proactive and reactive approaches, to support student behavior and development.
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data to inform student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Transport students between school and home, as well as during community-based instruction.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and consistent respect towards students.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience working with children, preferably in a special needs setting.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or minimum of 4 years of active military duty preferred.
