About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal, Healthcare Mechanical Engineering to join our team at Stantec. As a key member of our healthcare sector, you will be responsible for leading our mechanical engineering practice in the Seattle area, driving business growth, and delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic business and marketing plans for the healthcare sector engineering practice in the Seattle area, aligning with business center, regional buildings team, and global health sector goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients, sub-consultants, and partner firms in the local and regional A/E industry.
  • Lead a team of engineering project managers, designers, and CAD/Revit production team members, ensuring technical excellence, delivery standards, and best practices.
  • Manage the financial performance, quality control processes, and project delivery for mechanical engineering projects.
  • Apply strong engineering skills, experience, and knowledge to the design and oversight of building projects, managing and planning production resources and workflow.
  • Maintain awareness of operational, technical, or regulatory changes within mechanical engineering and the AEC industry, disseminating knowledge to the team and firm, and integrating into existing processes and standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 15 or more years of related professional experience.
  • Professional Engineering license required.
  • Project Management Professional certification a plus.
  • LEED AP Credential preferred.
  • ASHRAE Healthcare Facility Design Professional (HFDP) certification or similar specific to engineering discipline.
