Senior Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Digital Realty. As a key member of our Operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mission-critical infrastructure facilities.

About the Role
  • Collaborate with your peers to ensure 24/7 coverage, 365 days a year, to maintain the reliability and efficiency of our data center infrastructure.
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspect infrastructure systems, and complete repairs as needed to prevent downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Monitor building infrastructure systems, troubleshoot and repair issues, and perform preventive maintenance to optimize system performance and reduce the risk of equipment failure.
  • Assemble and commission Data Center equipment, prepare Change Management Forms and Methods of Procedure (MOPs), and schedule maintenance procedures with vendors to ensure seamless integration and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and use of protective equipment, respond quickly to emergency situations and customer concerns to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent combination of education and experience; data center experience is strongly preferred.
  • Trade license or certification acquired through technical education/training.
  • Facilities maintenance certification.
  • Experience working with mission-critical data equipment and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong HVAC, mechanical, and electrical skills and experience.
  • Understanding of computer systems and skill with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and processes precisely and carefully.
