About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Center Operations Specialist to join our team at Quality Technology Services, LLC. As a Data Center Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping equipment, machinery, and controls located in the interior and exterior of our data centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping equipment, machinery, and controls to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor data center operations and conduct routine assessments to identify potential issues and take corrective action to prevent downtime.
  • Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, responding to requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and quality control metrics.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Five or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency, with a background in IT, electrical, and/or mechanical fields.
  • Skills and Certifications: Proficiency with MS Office Suite, and certifications such as BOD OEM (Panduit, Corning), A+, Network+, BICSI Installer I.
  • Knowledge and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze operations of various systems, determine the cause of problems, and take corrective action.
