Job Title: Grants Administrator

Save the Family is seeking a highly skilled Grants Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for assisting with the execution of our grant writing, monitoring, and reporting strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide internal support and liaison for executive-level required details needed for grant proposals.
  • Write and draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of the organization.
  • Respond to internal and external queries on drafted and submitted proposals.
  • Monitor and maintain funder reporting schedules and requirements.
  • Understand the history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of the organization.
  • Maintain records and submit reports related to grant opportunities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with fund providers and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Research, identify, develop, and respond to public and private grant opportunities in areas relating to all services Save the Family provides.
  • Communicate with organization leadership to confirm their interest in collaborating with the foundation or company offering the grant.
  • Maintain a library of grant support documents, including resumes, bios, IRS forms, and Board/staff diversity lists.
  • Assemble all necessary supporting materials and documents, including budget reports, outcome measurements, and success stories, and submit reports to funders with leadership approval.
  • Assure the achievement of grant goals as set forth in the annual fundraising plan.
  • Execute thank-you letters and facilitate grant contracts/agreements with leadership.
  • Ensure acknowledgment of funders/investors via website, e-newsletter, and social media.
  • Cultivate grantor relationships.
  • Coordinate grant opportunities with program department leadership.
  • Support the development team in all fundraising efforts, including the gala, volunteer coordination, donation collection support, and creating, logging, and mailing acknowledgement and thank-you letters.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in English or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in grant writing, including government grants, with a proven track record of successful solicitation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in grammar and spelling.
  • Familiarity with donor tracking and system grant portals, such as GrantHub or Instrumentl, and HMIS database.
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated cultural competence, treating everyone with dignity, celebrating the diversity of our community, and being inclusive of all people in our community.
  • Ability to proficiently read and write the English language.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • 21 years of age or older for liability insurance requirements.
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or must qualify for a valid Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Eligible to work in the United States of America.
