Immediate Hire for Associate Insurance Defense Attorney

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our Insurance Defense team in downtown Tampa. As an Associate Attorney, you will play a key role in managing and defending insurance claims, conducting comprehensive legal research, and representing our organization in court.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage a case load of complex legal issues related to insurance defense.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to prepare and present cases.
  • Represent our organization in court, presenting evidence and making legal arguments.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, contracts, and legal opinions.
  • Negotiate settlements in alignment with company strategy.
  • Collaborate with our legal team, outside counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure a consistent approach to case management.
  • Participate in depositions, mediations, and arbitration proceedings.
  • Stay updated on current legislation and legal developments affecting the insurance industry.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal teams and senior management on insurance defense matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Florida state bar.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
  • Proven experience in legal research and drafting legal documents.
  • Exceptional negotiation, advocacy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of insurance law and related legislation.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple cases and tasks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work well in a team and foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
