Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is a vital member of the Conway Regional Health System team, responsible for performing specialized technical tasks to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities. This role requires a high level of expertise and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of technical tasks, including the detection of radiation in patients.
- Utilize medical imaging equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Collaborate with medical and professional personnel to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and test results.
- Verify orders and procedures, and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Transport patients with necessary paperwork completed.
Requirements:
- ARRT (NM) certification and/or NMTCB certification within one year of employment.
- Maintain professional status as an active register member of ARRT/NMTCB by fulfilling CME requirements.
- Arkansas State License in Nuclear Medicine.
- Successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers prior to completion of orientation.
- Previous computer experience.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission and Arkansas Department of Health requirements preferred.
