Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Conway Medical Center. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias in the Cath Lab.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in diagnostic catheterization procedures, IABP placement and operation, implantation of pacemaker, ICD, and BIV ICD.
  • Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, including stocking, daily QC checks, radiographic, hemodynamic, and computer setup, and room cleanup.
  • Monitor patient status during procedures, provide age and gender-specific care, and perform EKG lead placement, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry setup for hemodynamic monitoring.
  • Acquire and accurately document pertinent patient data in the electronic health record and enter into hemodynamic and X-ray systems.
  • Operate physiologic and radiographic equipment safely and correctly, assess procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness, and obtain supplies for individual cases.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a 24-month AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist required.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in Cardiac Intervention required.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in Percutaneous Coronary Intervention required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required (Advanced Registry preferred).
  • Certification with the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential preferred.

Additional Information:

  • On-call rotation required and must respond within 30 minutes.
