Mammography Technologist

Overview

The Mammography Technologist performs mammographic/breast imaging procedures and assists the medical staff with mammographic special procedures as requested. Use proper exposure factors and radiation protection techniques as outlined in the department policy and procedure manual when performing such procedures to insure maximum protection to self, patients, and others. Has a working knowledge of the department computer systems for processing procedure paperwork and acquiring patient information.

Qualifications

ARRT (R)

(M) certification within six months of employment
Arkansas State License in Radiography
Mammography and Breast Ultrasound experience, preferred
Successful completion of American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers prior to completion of orientation
Previous Computer Experience
Knowledge of Joint Commission and Arkansas Department of Health requirements preferred
Other education and experience may be substituted (if applicable) for the required minimum job qualifications with the approval of the Corporate Director of Human Resources.
