Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as the Administrative Director of Behavioral Health Services at Henry Ford Health System. This key role will oversee the strategic planning, development, and implementation of programs and services for addiction medicine and ambulatory behavioral health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Development
    • Lead and drive site, service line, and system-wide strategic planning to achieve long-term success and growth.
    • Develop, implement, and evaluate business plans, capital planning, and resource planning to optimize financial, programmatic, and operational excellence.
  • Program and Business Development
    • Develop processes and programs to create operational linkages and synergies between programs, increasing efficiencies and delivering a better care experience.
    • Work with finance to monitor conformance to policies and procedures relative to fee structure, fee collection, and prior approval.
  • Financial Management
    • Oversee and manage all aspects of financial lines for the scope of business, including clinical, research, teaching, and endowments.
    • Assure sound fiscal management of programs through developing and monitoring all aspects of the budget, maximizing bed/service utilization, and fee collection.
  • Staff Engagement and Development
    • Responsible for support staff, advanced practice provider, and senior staff engagement.
    • Ensure plans and processes are in place to improve engagement and professional development for all staff, as indicated by performance metrics.
  • Patient Care Experience
    • Responsible for oversight and process improvements of the patient care experience through optimal utilization of people, processes, and technology to exceed patient expectations.
    • Work within specific areas of focus and at a broader level to improve the patient experience from initial point of contact to completion of service.
  • Citizenship and Marketing
    • Contribute to projects and initiatives at a Group and/or System level, beyond immediate departmental needs.
    • Keep abreast of market dynamics and specialty product development from national and local trends to lead improvement plans from ideation to implementation.
    • Develop marketing strategy and oversee its implementation, working with external hospitals and/or practices, legal, contracting, and other related areas to create and maintain partnerships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
  • Master's Degree in Business or HCA or related field preferred.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in clinical and/or administrative leadership required.
  • Experience managing an addiction medicine facility preferred.
