Position Overview: Electrical Control Engineer

GoldBridge, LLC is seeking a skilled Electrical Control Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves significant travel within the East Coast, with potential overnight stays and extended assignments during critical phases of construction and startup.

Work Environment:

  • The position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for 2 days of remote work and 3 days of on-site engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development, administration, and maintenance of various operational networks, including historian servers, HMI systems, and web services.
  • Conduct network monitoring and performance analysis, while developing and implementing standards for internal customer support and fault management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to achieve operational goals.
  • Provide programming, design, and troubleshooting support for network systems, focusing on infrastructure, firewalls, and PLC operations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for network and computer equipment failures related to operational systems.
  • Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of operator station systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Maintain and improve data storage processes and associated client user networks.
  • Document system standards, configurations, and network diagrams to ensure clarity and compliance.
  • Assist in the development of new control systems and cloud infrastructure for advanced process controls.
  • Ensure regular backups of critical data and systems are performed.
  • Configure and deploy new control workstations as required.
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to design and optimize control systems for safety, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Generate and review project control programs and specifications.
  • Coordinate resources for project execution.
  • Commission electrical and automation networking systems, ensuring vendor compliance with scope and functionality.
  • Focus on meeting user expectations regarding system effectiveness and reliability.
  • Engage with equipment and system integration vendors to facilitate documentation and delivery processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; or an Associate's degree with relevant experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical instrumentation and implementation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of experience in PLC programming within an industrial setting.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCST or CAP are highly valued.
  • Preferred certifications in network security, Microsoft, and Cisco.
  • Strong proficiency in process control instrumentation, network protocols, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with various man-machine interface programs, particularly Aveva Intouch.
  • Experience with programming languages such as RSLogix, Python, R, C, C++, and Java.
